Keepin’ It Real.

If Tessa D’Angelo were a fictional character, she would be a cross between Sandra Bullock’s character in Miss Congeniality and some other high energy, cartoon/comic protagonist, like Sonic The Hedgehog or something(energy -wise, not face-wise). Okay, that came out weird, let’s start over: The girl with the vivacious personality, pretty everything, and infectious laugh is eight months pregnant, and still never appears to be/look tired (ever) and  also doesn’t mind speed walking all over Golden Gate Park, looking for me with the biggest smile on her face. Something tells me she would venture across the endless boundaries of the world just to get to our maternity shoot.

It goes without saying that after being Tessa D’Angelo’s engagementwedding, and now maternity photographer, we have an untouchable bond….and by bond, I mean, we somehow think it’s appropriate to tell each other just about everything, whenever we feel like it. In fact, I’m getting a text message from her right now that includes a picture of the most fantastic, bootleg contraption of a hair tie BUNGEED around the button of her non-maternity pants, and looped through to the other side due to the baby bump that is (clearly) taking over. I’m sorry, but this is brilliant. SHE is brilliant.

Meeting up with Tessa and Geno for our third shoot (but not final…I’ll be covering all major milestones for the D’Angelo’s for the next 20 or so years…deal wit’ it) was heartwarming and uplifting as always. Their infectiously positive attitude and genuine consideration for each other as well as others is a constant reminder that real happiness comes from recognizing and appreciating everything we all already have. In other words, Geno and Tessa will always know how to “Keep It Real”. It is in this spirit that tells me that the two couldn’t be better fit for parenthood, let alone each other.

Congratulations to yet another huge milestone for these two. I call ‘Babysitter’.

As father of the mother to be, I have a seriously bias prospective on all this.
Tessa’s mom and I are as proud as any parents can be.
We are confident that when the baby arrives Tessa and Geno will raise him as we raised her.
